Ho Chi Minh City Open University paid a visit to Korean Online Open University
From February 12 to 14, 2019, Ho Chi Minh City Open University (OU) had a business trip to visit and work with Korean Online Open University.
The delegation of the Ho Chi Minh Open University was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Huu Duc – Vice-Rector of the university. There were also Dr. Phan Thi Ngoc Thanh – Director, and some officers of the eLearning Center.
From the early days of establishment, HCMC Open University has always paid special attention to international cooperation activities in the orientation towards development strategies of the university, facilitating high-quality international study programs, and enabling OU students to improve foreign languages and be confident to integrate with international friends. The visit to the Korean Online Open University was also aimed at signing a contract to implement short-term Korean courses (TOPIK 1), getting experience in implementing online courses, visiting the studio and the process of building online learning solutions.
The business trip was of great success, establishing a foundation for building a long-term cooperative relationship between Ho Chi Minh City Open University and Korean Online Open University. It especially set the target for expanding international relations as well as the application of advanced technologies in online training, contributing to the development of the OU’s online Bachelor’s Degree program at regional and international levels.
