THE ENTRANCE CEREMONY OF ONLINE BACHELOR PROGRAM – COURSE 02/2019

On the morning of 7 July, 2019, HCMC Open University – ELO celebrated the Entrance Ceremony of the Online Bachelor Program Course 02/2019 at the school’s headquarters, 97 Vo Van Tan St, Ward 6, District 3, HCM City. Participants of the Ceremony were Associate Professor Vu Huu Duc – Vice Rector, Doctor Phan Thi Ngoc Thanh – Director of ELO, guests, and freshmen of course 2/2019.

E-Learning Center of HCMC – Open University was established in May of 2016, contributing to the school’s mission fulfillment which is “promoting a society with active learning by offering the most flexible and obtainable methods of education to students”. With more than 3 years of operation and almost 3000 learners of 9 majors: Business Administration, International Business, Human resource Management, Finance-Banking, Law, Economic Law, English Language, Accounting, and Auditing, ELO has welcomed all freshmen of the tenth Course of the Online Bachelor Program.

At this event, Associate Professor Vu Huu Duc highlighted the benefits of learning at ELO: knowledge and quality diplomas which support master’s degrees’ achievement and also wished all freshmen success.

While expressing the honor to be the representative of more than 300 new students of the course, Ms. La Kim Phung – Human Resource Management’s new student also shared her thoughts about becoming a learner of the program: “We chose this program for its flexibility and obtainment as well as its quality and the University’s reputation. However, besides all benefits that the school brings to us, we need to be hard-working and patient to succeed. I read news of hard-working students, many of them were learners of HCMC – Open University – Distant learning Program. Although they were at ages of 60s, 70s, they still graduated with honors and used their knowledge for work. I truly admire them. They proved that ages are just numbers while determination, effort, and hunger for self-development are what bring our dreams to fruition. Hopefully, we will be as good as our seniors, maintaining the fire and passion in our hearts to achieve our goals”.

With the aim to develop training quality, support ELO learners’ English speaking skill and create an interactive space for everyone, Doctor Phan Thi Ngoc Thanh, ELO’s Director introduced EClub – An English speaking club for students and looked forward to enthusiastic participation from everyone.

The ceremony ended beautifully while marked the beginning of this course as well as the E-Learning Program development of the University. Other pictures of the Ceremony:
