THE ENTRANCE CEREMONY OF ONLINE BACHELOR PROGRAM – COURSE 03/2019

On the morning of 6 October, 2019, the eLearning Center of Ho Chi Minh City Open University (ELO) celebrated the entrance ceremony of Online Bachelor’s Degree Program – 3rd course of 2019 in the head quarter, at 97 Vo Van Tan St, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of Assoc. Prof., Dr. Vu Huu Duc – Vice Rector – Expert in online education sector, Dr. Phan Thi Ngoc Thanh – Director of eLearning Center, faculties’ deans, invitees, and new students of  course 3/2019.

ELO was founded in May 2016 contributing to the performance of the HCMCOU’s vision of “promoting a society with active learning by offering the most flexible and obtainable methods of education to students”. Over 3 years of operation and development, the center has organized 11 opening ceremonies and welcomed nearly 3000 students in 9 faculties: Business Administration, International Business, Human Resource Administration, Finance – Banking, Law, Economic Law, English Language, and Accounting & Auditing. Soon, there will be 4 new majors expected to start in 2020: Marketing, Japanese Language, Chinese Language, and Southeast Asia studies.


While expressing the honor to be the representative of almost 400 new students of this course, Mrs. Ngo Thi Khanh Ly – new English-Language student also shared her thoughts about becoming a learner of the program: “Deciding to study at ELO – HCMC Open University was a quick decision. After defining the need to study which would help my career and finding a quality program that would match my schedule, I submitted my enrollment form.”

Speaking in the event, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sang, ELO’s guest – Director of Vietvalues Auditing and Consulting Company, appreciated the program’s value and quality and wish the program strong development contributing to the University’s operation in training quality improving and global integrating.  

The ceremony ended beautifully while marked the beginning of this course as well as the E-Learning Program development of the University.
